  • Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Architect in Sales Engineering

    Job Title: Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Architect/Sales Engineer

    Job Location:  Washington DC area/WFH or San Diego area/WFH

    FLSA: Exempt


    About the Role:

    Serve as the Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Architect in Sales Engineering, reporting to the Sales Engineering Manager. Contribute to a team of cybersecurity professionals working to improve the technical security posture of an enterprise network and the environments being monitored by a CSOC.  Interface with the customer technical staff to architect solutions using our technologies and other vendor technology as appropriate.  Solution engineering will include: wireless/IP networking, SATCOM, CSfC solutions, cybersecure data transport services, etc.  The position performs customer engineering support and system administration of host/network appliances and software to include installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, and backup/restoration.  The position troubleshoots appliances and analyzes issues and offers solutions. This role works both independently, as well as with other accounts teams in a pre-sales capacity to help position solutions, consulting, and services with our customers. The sales engineer also needs to articulate and demonstrate a broad understanding of multiple security disciplines such as cloud security, identity management, attack surface management, and risk management. you will provide and command the highest level of comprehension of the customer’s technical problem sets.

    • Connect with a broad range of customers and understand their needs in detail
    • Learn the technical detail quickly and stay abreast of its evolution and movement
    • Confirm proposed solutions meet client requirements and assist account team with technical qualification during the qualification process
    • Lead and support the sales process, to include prospecting, presales, proposal, contracting and customer success
    • Maintain security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, CASP, etc.) 
    • Ability to support multiple account teams
    • Go above and beyond to exceed our customers’ expectations

    Experience:

    10+ years’ experience in a broad range of assignments acting in technical sales roles interfacing with customer decision makers and influencing the decision-making process to close a successful win


    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher (Master’s degree preferred) in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field
    • Sales and Business Development training such as Shipley or other equivalent

    Other:

    • Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Special Compartmental Information (SCI) preferred
    • Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time

    Desired Certifications: 

    • Meet DoDI 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III requirements 
    • CCNP Security, CCNA Routing and Switching, RHCSA, Security+, GISP, GSLC, GCFA, GCIH, GCIA, GICSP

    Qualifications:

    • Strong knowledge and familiarity with the NSA CSfC program and implementation
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of the security industry. In-depth knowledge of multiple security solution areas (network security, SASE, CASB, SOAR, and UEBA)
    • Proven track record of contributing to the sales cycle and running opportunities from start to finish
    • Possess presentation ready knowledge and product expertise in key security technologies and solutions
    • Possess good technical knowledge of security architecture, network infrastructure, UNIX, Windows, application security, cloud security, and identity management
    • Experience in preparing business solution proposal and provide corporate presentation to senior management
    • Possess experience with channel enablement, product/ services evangelism, and experience with managing proof of concepts
    • Good spoken and written communication skills
    • Planning, engineering, and monitoring the security artifacts of a network
    • Identifying, monitoring, and defining the requirements of the overall security of the system
    • Experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise firewalls and DLP, IPS, IDS and gateway devices, VPNs and IPSEC, working with the following tools:  CISCO, Fortinet, Palo Alto, LAN/WAN concepts, Application firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, Linux/Unix and Windows
    • Experience with command line interfaces (CLI)

    Technology Familiarity:

    • IPSEC End User Devices: Triitus Hyperclient, SecureView, Open XT/XenClient, BAH District Defend
    • VPN Clients: CISCO, Aruba, Strongswan, Windows 10
    • Certificate Authorities: Windows, Red Hat, OpenSSL
    • OS/Hypervisors: VMware, Windows, Red Hat, CentOS
    • Software: Aruba, CISCO, Splunk, Solarwinds, Wireshark, Nmap
    • Hardware: CISCO, Palo Alto, Tellabs, HP, Fortinet
